EFT Tapping Points and Their Meaning

What happens when we "stuff down" our emotions?

A Chinese Medicine Perspective:
When we feel nervous, we might push that feeling down and try to act "normal." The issue with stuffing down emotions is that feelings don't just disappear; They get stored in our body.

Chinese Medicine practitioners say that specific emotions get stored in specific organs:
Anger gets stored in the liver.
Grief gets stored in the lungs.
Worry gets stored in the stomach.

In Emotional Freedom Technique (aka EFT Tapping), we tap pressure points that correlate with the major organs of the body, allowing stuck emotional energy to release.

This week, instead of stuffing down your emotions, try tapping.
Use the under-eye point (stomach) when you're feeling nervous about a meeting. Use the rib point (liver) when you're feeling annoyed at a family member.

Save this infographic to your phone so you can use the EFT meridian point that relates to your unwanted emotion. The more you tap, the less emotionally backed up you'll feel.

If you want to prioritize your emotional wellness, I suggest that you pick your favorite Energy Psychology tool (Meditation, Breathwork, EFT, yoga etc) and add it to your morning routine.
