Feeling anxious?
Emotional Freedom Technique is nicknamed EFT “tapping” since you tap stress-reducing pressure points. Quickly release unwanted emotions with this “tapping” exercise.
Nerd out:
Research shows that Emotional Freedom Technique reduces stress by an average of 80 percent. Since EFT acts like an OFF switch to your fight-flight-freeze-brain, you can use it on any situation that triggers fear-based feelings i.e. anxiousness, uncertainty, frustration, loneliness etc. Use EFT tapping for your upcoming meeting, hard conversation or bank visit!
Ask yourself:
What situation is triggering my anxious energy the most ? How anxious does this situation make me feel? (0= not anxious, 10= the most anxious) We call these anxiety triggers.
How would I think and act if I felt 10% less anxious about this trigger?
What would it take to start thinking and acting that way now, before anything changes?
Write a commitment to yourself: What can I commit to doing every day to continue releasing this anxious energy i.e. facetime a friend, write a letter, become a member for $10/mo

Dive deeper:
If you still feel just as anxious after using the EFT “tapping” exercise, it might be because your current situation reminds you of something from your past ie. you might feel intimidated by your boss because she unconsciously reminds you of an abusive parent. Your current partner might upset you because he unconsciously reminds you of the unhealthy dynamic you watched between your mom and dad. Get the idea? If your anxiety trigger is related to past events, commit to addressing that root cause with a Certified Practitioner or licenced therapist.
