Week 1: Cultivate Self-Compassion
Just imagine that you go to a friend for advice. Imagine that she starts listing reasons why you shouldn't be in this situation or criticizing you for how you feel. You probably wouldn't go to her for advice anymore.
Judgment clearly doesn't help you heal. Whether you are being judged or judging yourself, you can take steps to bring more compassion into your healing journey. In my book I Can't Believe I Dated Him, I refer to this step as Unplugging Judgment.
This week you will identify and release the self-judgment and self-shaming that is hindering your peace. In doing so, you will open to deeper levels of self-compassion.
